Hello and welcome to my site, the focus of which is my stud of Agouti & Agouti Butterfly German Lops, which I have been working on since 1997.

My name is Eleanor Padwick and I show German Lops under the prefix of Kanichen Stud, although I also occassionally show Angoras and have previously exhibited Netherland Dwarfs in Marten Sable and Alaskas. In total I have been attending shows and exhibiting since 1994.

I started like most people, with a pet Nethie that I showed in the Pet Classes (classes where rabbits are judged purely on how clean, healthy and friendly they are) and I got hooked.  Since those days I have come a long way, I now have a stud of around 20 German Lops, which I have done quite well with.  I also have a vast and ever expanding circle of friends, definately the best side of the 'Rabbit Fancy' is the circle of friends that come with it.

I now am beginning to get into the Judging side of things, I am now a BRC Intermediate Panel judge, which means I can judge 2* shows.  I am also on the judging Panels for the National Angora Club, National German Lop Club and National French and Dwarf Lop Club.

I am also the Secretary of the National German Lop Club; a club designed to promote and encourage the breeding, improvement and exhibition of the German Lop  and to assist all persons interested in keeping, breeding and exhibiting German Lops.

On this site I have decided not to go into too much detail on how to keep rabbits or their health and husbandry, although I do have some basic information on the 'Rabbit Advice' page.  If however you do have any queries on rabbit health or husbandry please feel free to contact me for advice.  The aim of this site is to tell people about my rabbits and German Lops in general - if there is something you think I have missed that people may find useful then please contact me.
