I get alot of people asking what to look for in their baby German Lops, so heres some pictures and descriptions for you.

The first time I look at my babies is at about 2 weeks, I look for a 'rosette' on the top of their heads where their crown will be, if they have this then it gives a good indication that they will have a nice broad crown and skull. After that I tend to not look at them in any great detail until 4 weeks.

At 4 weeks old they should look like a minature adult, it hopefully gives a good indication of the adults they'll grow into. I look at my babies at 4 weeks, then again at 10 weeks, if they've retained the type they had at 4 weeks at 10 weeks then they should grow into nice adults. Rabbits do go off though and some can be late bloomers.

Pictures of a 4 week old baby

The ear facing the camera hasn't completely settled yet - hence its a bit fly away still. Showing a good roman nose, body looks a bit scrawny in this photo

You can see here that her ears haven't settled but showing good width between the eyes.

Showing a lovely almost square body.

I'll add more pictures when the babies are 10 weeks old.
